What is the Stakeholder Challenge about?
Every year the council looks at its services to make sure that all services can be used by everybody in Hartlepool who need them and that the services we provide are what is needed. We wanted to check what local people think about these plans - Have we got it right? Could we make services more accessible? Are we providing the services that people need?
Who are involved?
Ordinary Hartlepool people - young and old (13 to 80 yrs); men and women; people with or without disabilities (physical and sensory); gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or heterosexual; people from all faiths and different ethnic groups can get involved. We want to hear the views from people with different backgrounds. We are not looking for experts or for anyone who need any special knowledge or expertise to take part. See the link below for a description of the role of stakeholders:
A Regional Conference was hosted by the Council on 17th June 2008 on the Challenging Council Services pilot project. Please click on the links below for more information about this conference, and the Independent Audit Report about this project.
